IT BUSINESS ANALYST

PURPOSE:

The IT Business Analyst role is to support Business applications used in the organization. The IT Business Analyst will provide application support and analysis on AX ERP, ReqLogic and other business applications, application upgrades and enhancements.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

 The position reports directly to the IT Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES & PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

• Acts as the primary analyst to lead and design the technical solutions to align with the business requirements
• Analyzes business application requirements for functional areas such as HR, Finance, Procurement, Inventory and Warehouse, Payroll, Maintenance by gathering, analyzing and documenting business requirements
• Assists to code, integrate, test and debug the organization's application software
• Makes recommendations on system changes and enhancement in consultation with key business users and other IT colleagues(Infrastructure Analysts)
• Develops a strong understanding of all department needs to facilitate the most effective and efficient system configuration
• Performs hands-on configuration and implementation of Dynamics AX
• Develops and continually improve application capability and processes by utilizing best practice using industry standards and tools
• Assists with user training and application support activities as necessary to ensure successful  utilization of the application
• Analyzes requests for new functionality and document business cases to justify new application investment
•  Researches and initiates application ideas that would be useful to the organizations

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• A College or University degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of experience and training

Experience:

•  Strong experience with MS Dynamics
• At least 5 years of experience in a technical setting and analyst role with strong communication skills (verbal, written, comprehension and presentation), business process analysis.

Knowledge, Skills Abilities:

• Very strong analysis, design, development, integration and implementation skills
• Good verbal and written communications skills and willing to work on all levels and aspects of projects
• Ability to work with peers and internal clients on tight times and produce measured results
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Strong technical skills
• General knowledge with SQL and database query tools
•  General knowledge with reporting tool such as FRX and Crystal Reporting
• Demonstrated team building, planning and leadership skills
• Knowledge of business processes and company operations
