Education
Grande Cache Coal Corporation provides scholarships for children of employees who attend a university, college or other post-graduate institution. The contributions vary depending on academic performance.
Each year GCC also presents 2 scholarships to local high school students
$1000 for a Deserving Grad
$1000 for the Top ELITE program student
The ELITE program is a trades related program developed in Grande Cache and now used at other areas in the province.
Community Outreach
Grande Cache Coal Coorporation is sending a Mine Rescue Team to the International Mine Rescue competition which will be held in Fernie BC on the 11 and 12 September 2009. This is the first time that Grande Cache Coal is sending a team, and we wish them all the best of luck.
On August 25 and 26th 2009 Grande Cache Coal Corporation participated in Habitat for Humanity's Adopt-a-Day program.
Sports
Grande Cache Coal supports a baseball team in the local mixed league and a team in the local adult hockey league.
