Robert H. Stan

President and Chief Executive Officer and Director

Mr. Stan has been involved in the Canadian coal industry since 1979, during which time he has developed an extensive knowledge of the international coal industry and markets. He has held senior management positions with several Canadian mining companies, including Fording Coal Limited, Westar Mining Ltd., Teck Corporation and Smoky River Coal Limited (SRCL). Mr. Stan was appointed a director of Grande Cache Coal Corporation in July 2000 and was appointed President of Grande Cache Coal Corporation in February 2001 and Chief Executive Officer of Grande Cache Coal Corporation in September 2002. Prior to February 2001, Mr. Stan was Vice-President of Westpine Inc., a privately held mining investment company, and prior to March 2000 was Vice-President, Marketing and Business Development of SRCL. Mr. Stan received a B.Comm. from the University of Saskatchewan.

Robert G. Brawn

Chairman and Director

Mr. Brawn has been the Chairman and a director of Grande Cache Coal Corporation since March 2001. Mr. Brawn has over 49 years of experience in resource extraction industries. He serves as a director of a number of  TSX , TSXV and NYSE listed public companies including Emeritus Canetic Resources Trust, Black Diamond Income Fund, Zapata Energy Corp., and Parkland Income Trust. He is also a director of ATB Financial an Alberta Crown Corporation. Mr. Brawn has been President of  738831 Alberta Ltd., a private investment corporation since 1999. Mr. Brawn received a B.Sc.(Eng.) from the University of Alberta.

Barry T. Davies

Director

Mr. Davies has been a director of Grande Cache Coal Corporation since July 2000 and has provided management consulting services to Grande Cache Coal Corporation since this time through Westpine Inc., a privately held mining investment company. Mr. Davies is a mining engineer with 30 years experience in mineral exploration, mine development, operations and corporate management. During more than 20 years with the BHP Group he held senior management positions with responsibility for exploration and development projects in Southeast Asia and South Africa and was Vice President Strategic Planning and Development for BHP Minerals in Australia. Mr. Davies is the President of Westpine Inc. and from June 1997 to March 2000 was the Chief Operating Officer of SRCL. Mr. Davies is a mining engineering graduate from the Camborne School of Mines in Cornwall, United Kingdom.

Donald J. Douglas

Director

Mr. Douglas has been a director of Grande Cache Coal Corporation since March 2001. Mr. Douglas is the President of United Communities, a privately held property development company, a position which he has held since it commenced operations in July 1993. Mr. Douglas has been, and continues to be, a director of numerous investment and management companies in Alberta, and serves as a director of certain non-profit and charitable organizations. Mr. Douglas holds an MBA from IMEDE Management Development Institute in Lausanne, Switzerland and a B.Comm. from the University of Alberta.

John R. Morgan

Director

Mr. Morgan has been a director of Grande Cache Coal Corporation since July 2006. Mr. Morgan is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Vannessa Ventures Ltd. (since January 2004), a junior gold mining and exploration company focusing on exploration and development in Latin and South America. From June 2003 until December 2003, Mr. Morgan was an independent consultant providing mineral advisory services. Prior thereto, Mr. Morgan was Vice President Operations of Carbones del Guasare S.A., Venezuela, from May 1999 to May 2003. Mr. Morgan's experience in the coal industry includes exploration, development, operations and corporate management. Mr. Morgan holds a B.Sc. Geology from the University of British Columbia.

Donald R. Seaman

Director

 

Mr. Seaman has been a director of Grande Cache Coal Corporation since March 2001.  He has over 50 years experience in the oil and gas industry and is currently President of D.R.S. Resource Investments Inc., a private investment company.  Mr. Seaman has served as a director of a number of publicly listed entities and currently serves as a director of CCR Technologies Ltd., a TSX listed company, and Titan Digital Corporation., a company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.  He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Anita L. Roncin

Vice-President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Roncin was appointed Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Grande Cache Coal Corporation on October 1, 2005. Ms Roncin was Controller of Grande Cache Coal Corporation from July 1, 2004 to September 30, 2005. From 2002 to 2004, Ms. Roncin held several financial positions including Manager, Financial Reporting and Accounting at Fording Inc. and Elk Valley Coal Corporation. Prior thereto, Ms. Roncin was a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Ms. Roncin is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and received a B.Comm. from the University of Saskatchewan.

Lloyd E. Metz

Vice-President, Operations

Mr. Metz was appointed Vice President, Operations of Grande Cache Coal Corporation on October 25, 2006. From December 2005 to October 2006, Mr. Metz was Director, Engineering and Development, and Chief Mining Engineer from August 2005 to December 2005. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Metz was General Manager of Elk Valley Coal Corporation's Cardinal River Operation. Prior to that, Mr. Metz held several senior positions with Luscar Ltd., including General Manager of the Line Creek Mine (1998-2001) and Obed Mountain Mine (1996-1998). Mr. Metz is a Professional Engineer having graduated from the University of Alberta with a degree in Mineral Engineering - Mining. He has over 25 years of coal mining experience in western Canada and has extensive knowledge of mining in mountain conditions.

Eugene H. Nagai

Vice-President, Marketing and Transportation

Mr. Nagai was appointed Vice President, Marketing and Transportation of Grande Cache Coal Corporation on December 6, 2006. Mr. Nagai is a marketing professional with over 25 years of negotiating and sales experience in a variety of bulk commodities including sulphur, potash and petroleum coke. He also has significant transportation experience having worked for over six years in the marketing and sales group of Canada's largest railway company.

Fred D. Davidson

Corporate Secretary

Mr. Davidson has been a partner with the law firm of Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP since January 2002. Prior thereto, Mr. Davidson had been an associate with Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP since July 1995. Mr. Davidson received his LL.B from the University of Alberta in June 1994 and received his designation as a barrister and solicitor from the Law Society of Alberta in July 1995. Mr. Davidson's practice focus is in the area of corporate and securities law including public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and reactivations of both public and private issuers.
